will upgrade process affect any current projects?

~when upgrading to v.8 will existing projects be affected (projects not open but those not yet saved off harddrive). i want to upgrade and use some of the new things in the update in some current projects still on the harddrive that were begun in v.4. safe to?

I upgraded from v6 to v8plat without a problem.

It should be ok. I've never encountered a problem upgrading. I suggest you leave version 4 installed just in case you do have troubles so you'll be able to go back to it easily if necessary. Also, *extremely important!* ... if you save a .vf project file in version 8 you won't be able to open it in version 4 again. So make copies of your .vf files before opening them in version 8. That way you'll still have the version 4 project available if you need it.
