will vegas audio 3 happen?

Just a little concerned about vegas video 3 being out but no word on vegas audio 3. If vegas audio 3 will be a video 3 without video editing features like it was the case with the vegas 2 versions, why would the vegas audio 3 release not have happened together with vegas video 3?
Also the "upgrade" page shows a price for "upgrade from vegas audio 2 to vegas video 3" only, no sign of vegas audio 3 there either, not even a "not yet available" entry.
Apart from that, why did you guys and gals at SF get rid of the pricing advantage for people downloading the software (as opposed to ordering a boxed package)?

thanks for your time

I read here on the forum that VA 3.0 will be dropping in late January, if I'm correct and will have some extra features that VV 3.0 currently does not have...(when VA 3 drops there will be an update to bring VV 3 up to par (audio-wise) with VA 3)

No date or feature set for any future version of any SF product have been officially announced or promised. If you want some of the new VV3 features (audio or video specific) you are encouraged to upgrade now while the VV3 "deals" are still in effect.

Any unreleased Vegas, Forge, or ACID or other SF features should be considered rumors until they are formally released.
