Try renaming as .mpg- I did that with JVC HD files and they open right up. Rendering of transport stream MPEGs is not currently supported.

You say that rendering transport streams is not currently supported. Does that mean that there are indeed plans for an upcoming version of Vegas that will be able to render transport streams?

Just curious: you need to render transport streams for delivery to what device?

SonicEPM,

I need to render transport streams to feed to a "MyHD" card for projection on a HiDef projector. I can do it now, but I have to use about 5 different applications and jump through a bunch of hoops. It would be nice if I could export it in Vegas since it already has MPEG2 and AC3 encoders.

Check out the MyHD 120

For those of you who don't know about the MyHD card, it's a PCI card that slips into a computer, you plug in an antenna and you can decode all 18 of the ATSC formats. You can then watch DTV and true HiDef programming on a HiDEF TV via the component inputs or simply watch it on a computer monitor. Either way, it looks amazing. You can also use it like a Tivo and program it to record the ATSC bitstream to the hard drive and watch it later. It's the most fun $290 I've spent in a long time.

Thanks for the info John. All I can say is the old standard "we are considering this for a future version". I cannot provide a timetable.

John: Did you get the daughter card and/or the JVC D-vhs recorder and if you did
how do they work?
