One more question before i make my purchase. This stems from another post where i was trying to determine if i could load the Vegas+DVD package on both my laptop (travel) and dedicated editing system for home use. This ability to load it in two different places but inability to use it in two places at once makes me wonder if it'll even work with my dedicated system which is not hooked up to any internet (have none at home, but laptop has wireless for the office).
My guess is that they "check" with cookies or something that a computer using the software sends out, and therefore an internet connection might be a must to run the program? Guess i'm just asking if it'll work without an internet connection... the requirements say it needs IE5, but is that really a must, or is it just for updates, etc. Again, this is just for the home machine... i can download updates at work if need be.
