Win 8.1 Sizing

Just got a new laptop with Win 8.1. Not the right forum to ramble on about how much I hate it, but I do have a question for here. My new computer has a 17" monitor and my old one had an 18" with Win 7. On my new one, all the labels and words in VMSP12 are tiny, I mean really tiny! I pride myself on really good vision, but this makes me work hard! Also, at the top of the screen where it says 'Project, tools, help, etc', those words are cut in half by being covered by the timeline, but they still work if you click on them, but it's just not right. I have my main screen resolution set to what it came with 1920x1080 (recommended). Anyone have any ideas? Thanks. Cin

OMG,

Is the system font tiny as well or just in Movie Studio? I think there is a preference setting in Movie Studuio that says 'use system font'or something like that.
I use 1920x1080 with Windows 8.1 (which I actually don't mind),

If you just installed Movie Studio and this doesn't happen with any other program, perhaps you just need to set everything in Movie Studio back to the default?

Thank you Mark, that was the kind of setting I was looking for, but can't seem to find. DVD Architect, and Sound Forge look like they have my computers size and font, but my computer came with Adobe Premiere Elements and the font in there is tiny also........ Hate and love new computers....... I will keep looking, but if anything else comes to mind, please don't be afraid to share. Thanks again. Cin

OMG,

I see a setting for colors, but not for fonts. I have high hopes for Tim's suggestion even though I am on 8.1/MS 12 and my "Compatibility>Disable display scaling' is unchecked.

Thank you SOOOO much Tim, that was a great find!! I never go to the Vegas board because those people over there are smarter than I could ever understand. Who could ever be so smart as that ddm guy?? Who could or would ever figure that out?? I was just glad to see it wasn't just me being stupid, but then to find that it fixed everything was great! I thank you and Mark (and ddm) for all your help.
