Win 98 freezing after Video Factory install

Video Factory crashes my system after install (and reboot)

Took me over 12 hours to figure out that my system didn't have a virus except for the Video Factory
one.

Other software installed:
Sound Forge 4.5
Framemaker 6.0
Zip-IT
Star Office 5.2
Paint Shop Pro 7.0
Netscape 4.7

Symptoms are:

process "msgsrv32" enters "not responding state"
in the task window very often after Video Factory is installed. This occurs every time after Netscape is
invoked and system is rebooted. The computer is locked until that process is manually killed using the
task window. After killing it the first time, the system is no longer able to print. Either the system locks
up when trying to print or gives an error "Default printer not found" before printing.

Removing Video Factory does not remedy, only remedy is to reformat the system disk and reinstall all
my other software.

How do I know Video Factory is the cause???
Everything works when I don't install Video Factory after reinstalling Win98 from scratch.
This took over 6 installs/12 hours to figure out.

What can I do, has this been seen before. Are there known conflicts?

Very interesting! What is your system configuration? What
version of Win98 are you using? Video Factory has been very
stable for me. I use it with StudioDV. Did you try VF on a
clean install of Win98 before installing anything else?

My system specs:
Abit BE6-II
Celeron 400
128 meg
17 and 20 gig HD on ata33 controller
ATI expert at play
Creative Ensoniq

It might help ME to answer if you can tell me how much RAM
you have and whether or not you have a lot of stuff on your
system tray (usually lower righthand corner or near the
clock at least.
