Thing is that most people wont release / develop support for something that's not out there yet - as far as I know XP64 or whatever it's called - is still in beta.

From what I understand, XP-64 is out of beta, gold, and will be released this month.

Actually, XP64 was made available to those on MSDN the other day. Though I dont have a 64bit system, I grabbed it with the hope of having one soon espcially if Vegas 6 supports it.

Forgot. For us non-MSDN users the retail/oem versions will be available some time this month

Hey thanks for this link. Verry cool - should save me a little time.

Thanks for all your responses.

Yea about a month ago or so Newtek and Microsft jointly anounced that LW was in 64 bit beta and both it and Windows XP pro 64 bit would be released shortly.

Then a few days ago both Newtek and Microsoft made the anouncement that they were ready to start shipping in a few weeks. Microsoft then removed the beta download with a message it would be released in a few weeks.

So I went looking for a new system, decided to spurge on a ASUS SLI delux board and some ram. I'm building it piece by piece as things get released for 64. I am in no rush.

But the coolest of all so far is that nvidia already has the 64 drivers and BFG anounced a 512 meg grafics card!

scrimp and save, scrimp and save!
