Win2K Problems

I've been using Vegas now, very successfully- but I recently reinstalled my OS, Win2K Pro (to facilitate using Sonar as well) and now Vegas records nothing but staticky noise. I'm using a MOTU 2408, and even with MME drivers enabled I get the same thing.

I don't have SP2 installed- could this be my problem?

I have upgraded my hardware, gone from W98 to W2K and upgraded from VV 2.0 to VV 3.0..
I haven't done any recording yet, but playing projects I did in the past, I can not determine how to route my Motu 2408 I/O to the VV busses. I understand that this is now done from the mixer window instead of from the OPTIONS>PREFERENCES window. When I select the icon, the selections are only DA88 and Analog. I the PCI-324 Console configuration setup for Bank A set for DA88 all 8 channels in and out enabled and Bank B set for all 8 In and Out onboard analog channels enabled.
In the Windows Setting>Control Panel>Sound window, again when I select the playback and record device, I can only select DA88 or analog. With W98, I could select down to the stereo pair of DA88 or Analog.

Is there something else I must setup, or is a limitation of W2K and Motu. I am happy withs Motu's hardware, but not there software nor customer support.

Two things for W2K:

1. Make use that you have selected MME emulation in the motu console. This is required as Vegas does not support WDM drivers .

2. You will only be able to address 20 channels ( 10 stereo pairs ). A limitation of W2K. Early reports say XP removes this limitation.
