Just so that more folks will see this from the thread title, there has been another instance of clicking Win7 compatibility mode in Properties with a right click on the Vegas icon when running on Win7 as an absolute fix for crashes around FX menus.

Sony should take note, as well as all users. This sort of seems like a no brainer at this point, and there does not seem to be a down side to it, so........
