window docking area cannot be restored

Being new on Vegas I accidentaly clicked on x at the preview window which sits normaly down on the right side of the Trimmer window.By doing this, Trimmer expands to the right and Preview w.disapears. So far nothing unusual about this.Funny part comes, when trying to restore this double window configuration. Trimmer, or media pool etc. on the left side and Preview on the right.Nothing seems to get it back. I tried to drag and float it somehow, but cannot make it do so.After many hours trying milions of combinations and reading manual A to Z I am desperate for help. Anybody come across this problem? Thanks in advance for solving this mystery.

Hi zbysek,

You might try the pulldown menu: View>Video Preview (Alt + 6)

Another tip: I and others have struggled to find what the manual calls the docked window's handle. It is the line that goes all along the left side of it. Point to it, left click and drag. See if that makes your mystery clearer.

I knew i had seen it somewhere, now found it in an old posting by screen:

"If all else fails... Restart Vegas while holding down 'SHIFT + CTRL' This will reset your preferences and views. Downside is that you will have to set your prefs again but you should be able to find your plugin then."

Tried it and it works.

Yes,I am in bussines again.Too bad Vegas people do not mention this in manual.Left click pressed down on thin vertical line, hold it there for few secomds and window hiding underneath pops up.
