Window issues

relaxvideo wrote on 11/28/2022, 2:45 AM

With W10 and V19/b643 i have two window issues:

- when i quickly move mouse cursor to the top left corner and like to close Vegas with doubleclick, it doesn't work.
(Vegas window is maximized of course). I have to move the mouse a few pixels to the right or bottom.
So on coordinate 0,0 closing not working like it should.. It works fine with Vegas11/12 of course..

- i use 2 monitor setup, left is timeline, right is full screen preview. On the right monitor the leftmost 1 pixel wide vertical line is the Vegas window border *** . I thinked my monitor is bad, but it's not.

Will show photos later if needed.
Please check these issues if you can.
Thanks!

*** when i dont use fullscreen preview. so when focus is on other app like total commander, etc, i see that vertical line on 2nd monitor

@relaxvideo I'm sorry, I can't repro either of your symptoms. With my mouse pointer at the extreme left top corner, a double click closes Vegas down. I'm puzzled as to why you should go to the trouble of double-clicking the corner to exit Vegas, when you can single click the cross in the right hand top corner to achieve the same result.
As to your full screen preview issue, I presume you're using the 'Video Preview on External Monitor' option. Again, my full screen preview is definately full screen, No border.

Why? because of double monitor setup hitting the X on the right corner is waaay harder than go to the top left corner with a quick mouse movement

I forgot to say that my main monitor is 2560x1440 while the preview monitor is fullhd if this matter.
(again, no problem with V11 or 12.)

Did you try enabling the alternative high DPI mode in preferences? That may help. I haven't noticed Vegas going off the main screen. I think you can use alt f4 to shut the program.

thanks RogerS, use alternate high dpi scaling was the solution!
