Search for information on PAN/CROP or TRACK MOTION. They both allow Picture in Picture effects.

Take a look at issues 2, 3, and 4 of the Vegas Tips, Tricks, and Scripts Newsletter.

Track Motion. Two separate video tracks, the top most used with Track Motion, adjust
the size of the top video track. Look up Picture In Picture in your manual. It will help
explain how to do it. The top track would be resized by grabbing one of the bounding squares in the Track Motion screen. Have your cursor on both the top and bottom
video tracks(the one below your top track) so you can watch yourself resize the image.
That's how I do it. There may be other ways.

Having set size and position with track motion, try applying the cookie cutter to the smaller picture - instead of being stuck with a rectangular frame, you can make it oval or round, with a feathered edge if you like.

Thanks for the cookie cutter tip. I've used PIP, and cookie cutter, but never to change the shape of the window. Good tip.
