Windows 7, XP 32 or 64 use suggestion

I know this has been covered to some degree, but what would be the consensus regarding Vegas 9 rendering speed or stability using Windows XP 32 or 64 bit vs Windows 7 32 or 64 bit ?

Or simpler, what's the best platform in your opinion based on same machine and memory?

Simply put: XP is dead. Windows 7 64-bit is lean and mean and the future of Windows computing and all of Sony's latest software performs fine on it (some even claim better than XP!).

So the best platform in my opinion is Windows 7 64-bit.

I've been using it since it was released and I'm very happy with the whole experience.
