I am having a lot of difficulty trying to get my Vegas presentation to play on older Windows 95 systems.

What is the the best combination of Templates, Rendering process, and Media player to get my presentation to work on Windows 95 Systems???

(The presentation works great on newer XP systems with the Windows Media Player)

I would get Media Player 6.4 (latest 6.4 version available from MS)

Make sure you upgrade to it because Win95 didn't come with a decent Media Player.

.ASF (AKA Windows Media 6.4) is the format to use for the best results on a 6.4 player. unfortunately, Sonic Foundry thinks that we should all use Microsoft's new format, and decided to remove the excellent 6.4 encoder that came with VV2. (don't you hate it when they take features OUT for an upgrade?)

but you can still encode to 6.4 (ASF) if you have VV2, or you could try the old On Demand Producer (co-produced by Sonic Foundry and Microsoft) which should still be available from the MS Windows Media download center along with the 6.4 player.

post if you decide to go that route and I can give you some compression settings.

Another thing to try is the ISO MPEG-4 Video V1 codec which is available in the Windows Media 8 encoder that comes with VV3.
