Windows Media AVI file problem

A friend of mine filmed something with her casio
exilim z3 camera (they can film 30 second clips). She downloaded it to her computer and sent it to me in email as an AVI file. I was able to download it to my PC and it will run fine in Windows Media Player, but when I bring it into Vegas (5.0), only the sound "track" shows up. Nothing is added to the video track.

**This is just for personal use, (I know that quality of the file is not that good), but it's something funny and I would like to put it on DVD for my friends that got married.

Any suggestions would be appreciated,
Colleen

Colleen, the Casio cam shoots with an MJPEG codec, you'll need to find one on the web and download/install it. I don't have my bookmarks on this machine to send you to one, but there are several. I think Matrox has a freebie.

Try this link. I used it for my Casio camera. Works fine. Free for 60 days. Then only $20 to buy.
