WinMorph 3.01 full release with Warp FX plugin

satish wrote on 11/17/2002, 10:59 PM
WinMorph 3.01 full version has been released. Apart from minor UI enhancements adn bug fixes, the major additions are

1) The WinMorph Morph transition now integrates more with Vegas. The cacheing method has been replaced with a better approach, so now you can use WinMorph like any other transition without any complications. For this to work, the dynamic RAM preview has to be turned off in Vegas (like in PluginPac 3D LE).

2) A new "Warp - WinMorph" video FX plugin has been added. So you can use WinMorph for warping/distorting events in the timeline. The sample veggies will show how easy it is to create innovative effects.

WinMorph 3.01 can be downloaded for FREE from

If any problems, please post here or at the WinMorph Userforum at http://www.debugmode.com/forums/

Thanks
Satish

Do you reccommend an uninstall of the previous version prior to installing this or is it OK to install over the old version ?

Thanks

Installing over is fine, no problems are known in that scenario.

Satish,

You are a gentleman and a scholar.

Also needless to say a fine programmer; but I'll say it anyway.

Thanks Satish,

Any way to make the new plugin work with VV2? I have the VV3demo and it is great. Have used the standalone version successfully since 2.0

I dont have a copy of VV2, and i wonder what would be the advantage of doing it since VV4 is in the horizon.

You're right of course, and until I upgrade the standalone version works great. Thanks for providing a terrific tool :)

I have a 3.01 version but I don't see it in VV.
What am I missing.

Thanks,

If you dont see WM in the list of FX/Transitions in VV, goto "C:\Program Files\Sonic Foundry\Vegas 3.0\Video Plug-Ins" and you will find "wmwarp.dll" and "wmmorph.dll". Drag these two files and drop into VV main window. That will register them as plugins. Now restart VV and you'll find them in the FX and transitions list.

BUG
Beta build 434 was OK
Now build 801 will not work with Vegas.
When clicking on Winmorph the app begins to start, then I get "Unable to read stream dimensions" error 5 times. The app then starts with no video.
I am running...
P4 1.4
512M ram
Windows XP Pro (No SP's installed)
VV3c

Have you set the "dynamic RAM preview" value to zero in "Options>Preferences>Video" tab of VV?
watson wrote on 11/19/2002, 11:33 PM
I only see winmorph.dll Is this the problem?
Main window being?
Sorry if this is a dumb question.
Thank you
W

Delete that dll, and reinstall WinMorph. When installing, WinMorph will ask for the Vegas installation path, give the correct path where Vegas is installed. The plugins will be put in the "video plug-ins" folder inside.

Now you will find teh files "wmmorph.dll" and "wmwarp.dll" there. Drag them and drop over the Vegas window (the Vegas window is what i called vegas main window). That will register the plugins
