Wireless Optical Mice/Keyboard - Vegas Issues?

I am in the market for a new keyboard and mouse. I am considering buying wireless and optical. I have WinXP Home. Two questions:

1) Are there any conflicts/performance issues with Vegas (or video editing in general) using wireless/optical devices that I should be aware of?

2) Is it recommended to use PS/2 or USB connectors when doing video editing?

I've been using a logitech wireless mouse for some time - USB variety. Works great.

Wireless is fine, except the first generation that had only a few channels, two I think, which meant any neighbors using the same keyboard could pick up your keystrokes.

The only reason to use a PS/2 keyboard is if you need to access the BIOS, which frequently can't handle USB keyboards.

Wireless mice have a short delay when you start sliding after a period of inactivity, no biggie but to some people a little bit irritating.

The best wireless mouse today is the Logitech 1000 laser mouse, absolutely phenomenal but US$65+.
