That would be cool -- but in the meantime, you already can in a couple of ways --

You can feather a cookie-cutter.

You can apply a fuzzy border.

You can use a bezier mask instead of a crop and feather it.

That link in itself could spawn a new thread.

--Need a rewrite of the manual
--Need to be able to buy a printed version
--Need an audit of the interface compared against posted requests for features that already exist. Why can't people find things in the interface? Because they aren't obvious, I guess.

On the other hand, I've been on a crash course with Flash for the last few months and I have to tell you it'd be sooooo much better with a Vegas-like interface. But the online help for flash is very extensive, even if it often provides actionscript examples that are way too complex for the thing being demonstrated. The nicest thing about their online help is that you can highlight a word in the actionscript panel and search for it in the help files directly from a right-click command.

Off to the product suggestion page...

I doubt anything new is being added to Vegas at the moment.

I suspect they are just working out the kinks of all the features that have been decided upon. NAB is not far away. I would amazed if Vegas 7 is not launced there.

It would have to be a super-simple change for them to add anything.

Perhaps, if you started a wish list for version NINE it would be more timely. I suspect that Eight is pretty well planned, and that 7 is almost finished and on the way to the presser.
