what's the story on this? frequently playing a WMV file in WM9 Player, the player will completely black out the video and only the audio is heard. I sent a file to an associate and two of his clients had the same exact problem with my file. I then tested rendering to WMV8, worked fine yesterday, now today even that file is blacking out.

I've seen reports of this online before, now that I'm trying WM in earnest I see that I'm experiencing the same thing. Is WMV DOA? This is pretty much unacceptable.

RealPlayer is the spam and desktop hi-jacking king...so maybe it's time to standardize on Quicktime? what a shame.
