WMP 11 ignores menu

Not sure if this is the right forum but here goes.

I just converted an old VHS to DVD using Vegas 7 and DVDA4. It plays well on my laptop and my DVD player hooked up to a TV. The problem is that I have a new PC and when I try to play the DVD on it, WMP skips the menu and just starts playing the movie. Obviously it has to do with WMP 11 or some other setting on the new PC as this is the only place that it happens. Everything works as it should on other PCs, laptops and free standing DVD players.

In case this helps I am using XP SP2.

Thanks, in advance, for any help.

I kind of worked out what has been happening. When I play the DVD the second or third time, it resumes where I stopped the time before instead of starting from the beginning. When I play a DVD for the first time it starts at the menu. Kind of annoying. Anybody know how to fix this in Windows Media Player?

Maybe its like my set top player which also likes to "remember" for me where we left off.
To get around that 'default' I hit the STOP button twice and that clears it and it goes back to the very beginning of the disc.
Perhaps that would that work for your situation?
