WMV support

I downloaded a video and its in .wmv format. When I try to import it into vegas video 4.0 I get a error saying "wmv could not be opened".
Any ideas why this would be happening? WMV is supported.

Could be in a codec that you don't have installed. (Newer WMV codec)

I have no idea why Vegas 4 can't open your wmv file, but read this.
