I have that VidBox from the VHS to DVD product. I wanted to test the capture feature finally but it says that it's not recoginzed or currently being used by another program. Is there a way to fix this?
You've really got two good choices with the Dazzle unit.
1 - find a door you need to keep open and wedge it under the door.
2 - take it out to the driveway, put it in front of the car tire, and drive over it.
Either of those options is far, far more useful than trying to use it for video capture.
That being said, if you really really want to be masochistic enough to use it, use the software that came with it for capturing. You'll get MPEG files that you can then use, sort of, in Vegas.
I used the dazzle before on an old computer and it worked good enough for me. Now that I have a new computer, I can't find the software that came with the dazzle so I downloaded the drivers online. I installed the drivers and windows 7 says that it is working properly but I can't get it to work in Vegas Studio. I really want to get this footage from this old camcorder to my computer somehow. Any ideas other ideas? Please!

Vegas will only recognize a firewire input. How about trying Windows Movie Maker? At least for the input .. if successful you can edit in Vegas.
OR, search eBay for the software (but you may have to purchase the hardware along with it)
