Won't render Audio from some mp4 and mov files

I run Sony Vegas Movie Studio Platinum 9.0, and a couple months ago, it would not render the audio for some videos in mp4 and mov format.
I uninstalled and reinstalled the program, I updated it to 9.0b and it still didn't render audio for the same mp4 and mov files. How do I fix this?
