won't see cd drive

I have CD Architect 5.2 and when I try to burn a disc it can't seem to find the built in burner(NEC ND-3520A). It finds my firewire burner (Mitsumi CR-48XATE 1.0E) in the drive list of the dialog box but not the built in. I'd like it to see both if possible. Any suggestions?

Try updating drive's firmware. If no good try:
