Won't use downloaded music

Hey everyone

So I got a new computer and I'm honestly not sure if this is a computer error or a program error, I believe program( Movie Studio 14.0 Platinum) though.When creating videos for Youtube I down load music from them all the time. I did it no problem on my laptop, using the same program, but when I use my Desktop my computer will let me downloaded the files correctly but when I drag them in the program( I must drag them because they won't be viable if I try to just Add Media) once played it makes like a screeching noise almost like rewinding a tape sound. Im not sure how to fix this I had no problem downloading music and putting into my program on my laptop so why now? Can anyone help?

Look in VMS Platinum 14 Options/Preferences which Device is being used.
Try to install the newest drivers for that one or use(try) another one (if available)

Im sorry Im kind of confused. So I clicked on Preferences but unsure what to do next. The sound mapper is already on

Try one of the other, you can always switch back.

Which build of VMS 14 do you use?

I think it's cause the files from youtube are MP3s and the Files that are working for me are MP4s
