Wont let me import anything!

It wont let me import wmv, avi, or mp3! I tried to convert it through virtual dub but still wont let me. This has been a very frustrating day to solve this, i really don't know what to do now :( I have tons of clips that has been recorded in fraps and it exports them to avi which Sony vegas platinum seem to say That it is incompatiable and wont allow me to export them to media files.

What kind of AVI this is? If this is XViD, then Vegas Platinum won't work with it. Use the freeware utility "SUPER" like this http://eugenia.gnomefiles.org/images/proxy2.png (by changing the resolution/framerate/bitrate to the right ones) to make it work on Vegas. If SUPER can't read these AVI files either, then it's your AVI files to blame.
