I know one of the big issues with CD5 was the individual volume control line on each individual song as it was in CD4....AND I also realize that CD5 address this in sorts, by the 2nd time line. Although I love the 2nd time line with it's ability for me to add in other sound FX files it still seemed cumbersome to tweak the individual volume levels of indiviual songs as well as tweaking the fades and such as it was in CD4.
So I thought hmmmm....(and others of you may have already done this) but I wondered if CD5 would recognize the volume points and fades from a CD4 *.cdp file....and lo' and behold it does. So now I just create my mixes using CD4 so I can play with the volumes and fades of individual songs like I like and what I'm use to, then If I want to add in other FX's or need CD5 to recognize a newer CD-Burner I just simply open up my CD4 *.cdp save and burn it using CD5.
Anyway I know this requires both programs and I know that CD5 can do all the above alone... it still just seems to cumbersome for "my" tastes in the volume tweaking arena and such.
hope this helps someone.....it was just an epiphany I had :)
