Working on a part of a video

I have a 2.5 hour Houston Flood Benefit concern to make into about 20 videos. There are 7 cameras that ran from start to finish, so pretty easy to sync them all on the timeline. Now what's the best way to work with each song?

1. Copy-and-paste into another instance of Vegas

This works great except all the colorization in Media FX are lost. That's 7 cameras x 20 clips = 140 selects of colorize FX.

It would also be nice if there was a "copy loop region". It's not that difficult to make a cut and select all the events, but doing it 20 times adds up.

2. Work in full project

This is possible because it's so easy to "render loop region". But eliminates using track level FX that should be different per song. But I use media level and event levels, so not a problem. But it's just a lot of clutter. And maybe the computer runs slower dealing with 200GB of video files?

3. Delete other songs, and Save As

For each song, delete all but that song, and "save as" for that song. This saves the media FX, but isn't as easy as copy-and-pasting just the song events to 2nd instance of Vegas.

Other suggestions???

I decided to use the "save as" option. Only I make a cut at the end of the song, and do the "save as". Then, delete the song from the front, and continue until the timeline has just the last song. And then open each of the .veg files and delete the part on the end after the song, "clean project", and save. Works pretty well.
