Working with 1 main source and multiple music sources

Hello,

I am new to Vegas, but have used Acid.

I have 1 video track, 1 audio track for that video, and 1 audio track containing music. In my video I want to fade out the main audio track and fade in the music track. In Acid any volume control of this type would be handled with a volume envelope. I tried creating a bus a and a bus b, but when I specify the bus for that particular audio track, both tracks follow that bus. I hope there is an easy process to what I am doing.

Thanks,
Rob

Try adding volume envelopes directly to each audio track. You shouldn't need busses for this.

Thanks for the message. I was able to find out how to add an envelope to an audio track (from the Insert menu rather than right-mouse clicking). For some reason I thought that with Acid and Vegas being so similar that the process would be the same.

They're both the same with keyboard short-cut commands. Click on the track and Hit "v" for volume envelope, and "p" for pan envelopes.
