WOT: another GoPro promo?

Makes Steve McQueen's driving in Bullitt look tame in comparison.
Here's some notes from the only sound guy on the shoot.

--# of people in camera dept.: 22
--# of people on KB car crew: 8
--# of people in still photog crew: 5
--# of CHP officers for Bay Bridge stunt: 10
--average daily GoPro "body count" (destroyed during shots): 8
--largest single GoPro wipe-out (Russian Hill slide: about 20 I think)

--# of soundies: 1

--# of tires: MANY
--# of trannys: I think two--if that is in fact what they were fixing at one point (what it looked like)

The setups were worked out in great detail, and usually consisted of a planned out run shot from a profusion of angles, incl both manned helicopters and radio controlled drone camera-copters, a roving band of 5D operators, two fixed Alexas (often on lifts), a roving Epic, a roving EX3 and an infinite and unknowable number of GoPros planted everywhere inside and outside of the car.

You can see by the tyre marks on the road that they practiced first. Wimps.

I wonder what he used for those transition shots at the beginning...

Personally thought that some of the GoPro footage was unwatchable, especially in full screen. I literally didn't make it through half of it, the vibration and rolling shutter was just horrible. Also wasn't a fan of the editing and titles at the beginning.

Having said that, with 8,859,085 views my opinion is obviously moot.

That was outstanding.

I want to see the storyboard just to see how they placed all the GoPros.
