I've done a search here, and I've found several links describing how to freeze the last frame of a video, but I still don't quite understand.
I'm making a video collage of several clips of family holidays over the years, and I'd like to try something and see how it looks.
Basically, at least at the start, and possibly at the start of each separate date, I'd like to (a) freeze the first frame of the video for some period of time, and (b) have it be black and white, possibly writing a date or such on the video, and then (c) have the movie pick up from that frame, normal speed and color.
I've used audio envelopes, but I don't quite get the video velocity, how to freeze a single frame and make that freeze last a while. Would it be best to cut that one frame out and make a long event having just the one frame?
Thanks!
