Just updated my 'editing' PC from P4-3GHz 3GB XP-Home to and i7-870 with 4GB (so far) and W7-64.

Vegas starts up in about 5 seconds !

And yes, you can install V10(64) and V10(32) on the same account, giving access to all one's 32-bit plugins in the latter. Well at least so 'far so good'....

Now just need to get V10 sorted on my studio (audio) Athlon 2600+ machine that clicks and farts when any windows are popped up or moved. V9 was fine, but I updated to ZP-ProSP3 from XP-Home around the same time I installed V10 (bad move doing multiple things at once) ....

XP-SP3 is well known to cause problems, especially with A/V applications. I was forced to reinstall XP-pro then just updated to [sp-2]. Again everything runs normally again including PTs. Numerous other PT and Avid users had the same problem. Of course in my situation, the DAW/NLEs are rarly connected to the internet for FTP up/downloads.
