Thanks, Paul. It topped at 171, which apparently is a very high ranking in the book world at Amazon.
Watch for the Class on Demand DVD's for Vegas coming out very soon!

I just ordered mine through the Creative Cow link just to keep the dairy going.

SPOT, I saw your tutorials on height maps and masks on DVFormat.com and they were excellent. I can’t wait to get the book. Amazon gave a ship date of June 9th. That's 3 months from now!

Spot, congrats, I completed many projects with the hlep of the VV3 book, and can't wait to get VV4+DVD and your new book to help with new projects. What is the "Class on Demand" DVD you were talking about? Will it be a DVD set of tutorials? I word with High School kids and it would be great to use a tool like that to teach them Vegas.

Well congrats once again, and tell us more about the Class on Demand DVD.

Thanks, Emmo

Class on Demand is a company that specializes in training DVD's. We produced one from the live VASST tours, but between the length of time that the guy editing it took, and the dissatisfaction I felt with the qualtiy of the media in some places, I decided to do this with a company with a much larger ability to distribute, that has a set in place, and has decent/high end scan converters.
They'll be out very soon.

Hi Spot,

From reading this thread, I'm wondering if you wrote a book on VV3. If so, what is the name of it and can I get it at amazon.com or creative cow?

Hope you don't mind me popping in here, DSE....

To Jimnasium:

DSE has written a book on Vegas, but Vegas 4 You can find a direct link from the Vegas Forum on Creativecow.net.

Obviously DSE can give you details as to how much of the content is applicable to Vegas Video 3...

All the best everyone,

Paul

I didn't do a book on V3. However, roughly 85% of the book is applicable to V3, not just V4. Plus the book is loaded with basic DV info, mixing tips/tricks, etc. It's not JUST a Vegas book, it's one that I hope everyone in DV would want to own. I thought about all the stuff I used to look hard to find, and put it in there too. Lotsa info about setting up a system, lighting, getting good audio, etc.
