. . . sorry . . . got too enthusiastic . . normal complaint of mine . . .
However, Chums of mine . . Do you think the fonts are "narrower" and the read posts appear to be of a similar shade as the unread? This is making it difficult for me to discern between the two -yeah?
Tell me . . has "Showcase" alwys been up there on the Banner clicker thingy? - Have I been missing this? If not and it IS new, does this point to a more . . creative approach by the SONY?
Marquat - I've sent a request off to the Webmaster - dunno if it will be acted upon.... just had my glasses upgraded - can't cope with further prescription.
Thanks for confirming my worry and concern. Let's see if anybody else is "worried" by this . . hmmmm....
I'll figure something out for the font color difference to make that a little better.
As for the font size, if you click "edit account" just above the messages on this page, you can increase the font size. Once you change that setting it'll effect the whole site.
Odd, when I went to edit my account, it was already set to LARGEST, but it was displaying SMALLEST. I just clicked on Save and it got readable. Odd, like I said.
I prefered the old red/white forum colors, but will eventuatly get used to this one. But KSA... what's with the blue block next to your name? Is that the SPD logo?
WOW, This happened right in the middle of a post on the old site for me. Smack dab in the middle of the day. What a way to turn over a site! Congratulations. ;-)
Got my Logon back!! - Obvious, 'cos I'm writing this. Lost my "Read" posts . . not a problem . . . re-logged-in . . back to "Grazie" . . . . had to change my Quick Start menu icon for my favourite Forum - HERE! - Must say the font isn't to my liking - please change this . . . .the spaces between words is a bit hard . . . . the "kerning" on the letters is a wee bit "mean" . . . try standard arial . . not narrow . . . the present font is more of a stylish font rather than a work-a-day font . . . Web Miester, please realise many of us here use and work with this Forum on an hourly basis to gain and give information . . . this font is not cutting it for me . . . it is way to difficult to read and to write to and edit . . yeah, as I'm writing this the more I'm convinced of how uncomfortable this is . . .
Still like the overall change, looks smart and is pretty Kooollll
I too like the new look. It looks current, understated, professional and pleasing. I was afraid it would end up like the Screenblast site with MTV like animation screaming at me with teenage 3 second cuts from every direction. Nice work.
I do have a problem with telling the difference between visited and unvisited links. I can't tell if they all look bold or don't but they all look the same to me and it does seem to take a bit longer to load the pages now from my dial-up connection. Hopefully this is just because it's not all sorted out yet.
Well...all I can say about this new look is...eeeeeewwwwwwww!!!!!
SoFo - alive and colorful and vibrant. Sony - dull and boring. And on top of that it now takes about 1 - 2 minutes for pages to load...and I am on cable!! SoFo forums used to load in like 10 seconds. Now I just sit and look at the glorius Sony ugliness until the page loads. Good grief Charlie Brown I hope this is not the look of software to come.
(oh . and now I have to enter my username and pass all the time. No "remember me" type thing anymore. Hmmm.)
