That is called CD text. Some CD's have title information embedded on the CD and CD players that support this will display the titles. There is no way to do this with CD Architect, and I don't know of any programs that support CD text.

While I've never done it, I saw some information posted in this forum (about 8 months ago) on how to do it. As was correctly posted above, you cannot do it DIRECTLY from CD Architect.

However, from what I've read, you can still create the project in CD Architect, you just won't be able to burn it directly from CD Architect. Make an image file (.wav) and put in the track names for your CD TEXT.

Now, using a premastering burning utility from Colin Hill http://projeteva.net/ you should be able to creat a cue sheet and then import it to CDRWIN www.goldenhawk.com along with the wave file you created from CD Architect. CDRWIN will (should) allow you to create CD TEXT.

Actually, just a couple months ago, Colin Hill made another post here (you can search it) because he came up with an updated program that (I'm presuming - I've never tried it) will allow you import the CD Architect project and then burn it directly from his little program (about 64K), including CD TEXT.

I like his programs because I will still be able to use CD Architect with an unsupported drive. I've never tried his programs, so let us know your results.

He made a post here months ago about these programs (from his site posted above), and from what I can tell, these are the functions:

1. Premaster Win32 Console (44K) - I don't know what this is for.

2. CDPburn 1.00 beta Win32 GUI (64K) - Appears to be the latest (as of APR 01) version to take any .cdp file from CD Architect and write to any compatable CDR/CDRW with an option to copy CD TEXT, all directly from this program. If I understand this program correctly, it will also include disc and artist names in the project properties and appropriate values listed in CD Architect.

3. Premaster Utility 2.00 Win32 GUI (63K) - I think that this was the version before #2 above.

4. Premaster Utility Win32GUI 1.00 (63k) - This was the first version that you had to use with CDRWIN to burn the CD's - essentially just creating a cue sheet and letting CDRWIN do everything else (including making CD TEXT).

Please make a new post and let us know if you were successful making a CD with CD TEXT.
