VMS and Vegas are two different applications. It says it's for Vegas. VMS = Vegas Movie Studio = Consumer grade application (but just barely really). Vegas = Full blown Vegas professional grade application with unlimited tracks etc.... (at about 4-5 times the price).

You don't have to spend a fortune to get the full version. You can get the older (full) version of Vegas 6.0 for only $99 at
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/434966-REG/Sony_SV6000DVD_Vegas_6_Video_Editing.html

Program CD only, no box, no documentation, no DVD Architect (keep the one that come with VMS) but it's similar enough to VMS that you can start using it right away. The unlimited video (and audio) tracks, and the excellent color correction tools alone are worth the price.

Then check out smartflix.com for $10/week rentals of the VASST training DVDs for Vegas (version 5, but very helpful nevertheless) to learn how to use some of the features.
