I have been using Vgeas since it's inception and one thing that has plagued me is video and audio transitions magically altering themselves... I don't know if it is from working on the .veg s from different sytems or what...
ie I just had a 15 hour render of a 20 min HD video containing all fade in/out at the start and end of each section and only stright cuts and dissolves between each clip. I had 2 Sony flshe transitions as well. When proofing the final render I could see that the front of each section only where they are set to fade in had reset itself to straight cut, so the previous section would fade out and the incoming section would jump cut instead of fade in.
It was like this all the way through and the two sony flash trans were reset to plain crossfades... So basically everything was fine except the fade ins were all reset to cuts and the flashes were reset. Now I have to do another 15 hour render because of this sheite.
What I see most often is I will open a project and the audio crossfades will have almost all reset to a jump cut where the following clip is over the previous clip and to reset them all to crossfades I just have to grab the edge and nudge it a little bit then the crossfade comes back. MAJOR PITA
I have always used the latest build of Vegas and even though I work with .vegs over different systems with latest installs it shouldn't make a difference if I dont have the exact same plugs installed because I am talking only about basic default audio and video transitions. Does anybody know why this happens????
