x264 in Vegas

While searching for a solution for a poster in the VMS forum, I found the x264 VFW codec which installs and works like a charm with Vegas.

-- Allows you to load H264 AVI (popular format for point-and-shoot HD) and edit on the Vegas timeline.

-- Allows you to render H264 AVI files from Vegas (wow!) with great quality and a ton of configurable options.

-- Just playing with it now. More to come.

Nice, installed and Vegas list it as codec!
But I've a problem rendering an HDV project in X264 1280x720, Vegas report that "codec doesn't support current settings".

Turns out AVI/H264 encoding isn't such hot stuff -- lots of wrapper limitations unlike MP4. The codec is good to open those files in Vegas, however.
