No announcement, and if the past is any indicator you won't hear a peep about it until close to release time.

It wouldn't speed up the most common tasks, but it would allow use of more memory and some parts of the Windows system code seem to work better.

It is inevitable as other video apps that need more RAM come out with x64 versions.
