Xacti 60i to SD Help please.

First off, I've been trying to render to a 5 minute WMV or mp4 and I keep getting the video at double speed, twice. I've tried my project settings at either 29.97fps or 59.94fps, I've tried setting the wmv both ways. I almost always do 2 pass, so as soon as it gets to 25%, it starts over again. The video is being rendered twice, and plays at double speed. The audio is fine.
I'm using Vegas 7, and I can't watch the timeline in real time, at all, unless you like 1 frame every 3 or 4 seconds. It renders, ..but as I described above.
I'm just diving in to this, I tried the search, but I couldn't find any answers.
The Xacti recorded at 1080i (59.94 Double NTSC) It also says Mainconcept mp4 in the description of the mp4 file.

I thought I read somewhere that this camera sets the flag wrong on the frame rate. Try setting your project to 29.97, drop a file onto the timeline, right-click and enter the properties and set the playback rate at 0.500. That might get it to play back at the correct speed. You may have to play with the Undersample rate as well.

I thought that might help, but now I'm getting weird repeats throughout the video.

Well, somebody here knows how to do this, as I bought this camera based on their information, so I guess I'll just have to wait and hope they chime in.

Anybody back, that knows about 59.94 fps(double NTSC) Xacti, transferring to SD?
I keep getting the weirdest video playback, mostly double speed and the video plays twice to the one audio play. I've tried making avi''s, mp4's or wmv's. Same thing. I've tried to cut the Playback rate to 0.500 and I've tried setting the Under sample rate to 0.500,.... That does change the way it plays back, but now I see chunks of frames repeating themselves.
Is there any secret trick that somebody wants to let me know about?
