XD 422 Render

Hey guys...
Trying to get the definitive answer here. Have to deliver a 60 minute show to AXS TV in:

XDCAM 422/1080i/60-50mbps 29.97 48/16 pcm

I thought it would be the MXF template, but when I tried it, it doesn't seem to want to play nice on my macs.

Any suggestions please?

I have a Mac Pro and Mac Mini at my disposal. Sorry for the ignorance as this task is new to me.

Will the MP4 template do what you want?

XDCAM HD422 is MPEG-2 422P@HL, MXF seems to be your only choice.

Meaning the XDCAM MP4 template is not 4:2:2, but 4:2:0?
I'm pretty sure the only MXF Apple will accept is its own.

Even if I use that format..... What do I need to do so I can open it on Mac? I tried changing the extension as I have read else wear but no go? Part of the packages for the show were edited on FC and they are the right format just with the .mov extension.... Frustrating

You may need to render a DNxHD intermediate (free download) in Vegas, and take that to a Mac for a final render.

Wouldn't be the first time . . .

Thank you all for the help... If there's any other suggestions, I appreciate it!

Just a thought on this. If you are going from PC to MAC, you may need to make sure the MAC has Sony's XDcam player/finalcut software installed.

As the guy said before, MAC may only understand their own mxf format without additional software installed.
