XDCAM IMX files into Vegas?

I see Sony now have a very nice BluRay 'VCR' to go with their XDCAM line up. Given that the drive is networkable (and by that I assume I can just plug it onto a network) one should be able to copy the IMX files to a local drive and drop onto the Vegas T/L?
Obviously one might need the appropriate codec, is such a beast available?
Must say I'm pretty impressed with the XDCAM, I think it was the 530 that grabbed my attention although in IMX mode you're limited to 20 minutes per disk which is a bit of a downer for event videography, not an issue for ENG of course. What I also noticed was the price of the disks is very competitve with DB stock, good one Sony!

As far as I know, no. Being able to import/export MXF format files would be amazing.

Yeah, native IMX support would be great. But I think the only NLE which can do that are Sony XPri und Pinnacle Liquid Blue. Not even big Avids does it.
But even importing and exporting IMX would be great without native support would be great. Though the only transfer media probably would be a hard disc.

Not that I have anything against XPRI but that does kind of sound like Sony painting themselves into a bit of a corner. Liquid Blue also gets good press, after all it wasn't developed by Pinnacle.
Given that it's only 50 Mb/sec there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to squirt it down a 1394 connection, well come to think of it as it's disk not tape based you could feed it down any connection.
Apart from that though I think IMX has a much simpler structure than HDV to deal with so it shouldn't be rocket science to get it working in Vegas. If it's a straight file transfer then there's no capture / PTT issues to worry about unless you want to go out to a IMX tape deck.
