Seems to me it would be much better if they just added File->Save as...>DVD Template!

It was great that in version 1 they let us know how to make/modify templates by documenting the XML that drives them, but XML is a data interchange format that, while human readable, should not have to be human consumable. I would have expected version 2 to fix this by allowing you to save a DVD layout as a template. Seems like a trivial feature to add. Just popup a window that asks which menu to use as the boilerplate and then generate the XML and save the assets in a theme file.

JohnnyRoy, that is a great idea!

I do some XML professionally, so it is not mysterious to me, and I have created a few additional themes - but their methods are not intuitive, and do not need to be so cryptic.

But the inclusion of the save as feature as you specified would essentially give us a WYSIWYG template editor.

DVDA 2 is a great product - this feature is at the top of my DVDA wish list (I just submitted a 'Product Suggestion' for this)
