XML schema and importing text files

Hi, I'm wondering if there is an actual xml schema out there for Vegas. I've been playing with the export xml feature and then import xml which is pretty cool but is there anything available schema-wise that I can refer too or do I have to pick apart what I'm seeing on the export?

I'm also wondering if there is a way to import .txt files so they show up as sony text media files. If I could do it using an xml file that would be great but maybe I need some kind of script?

Thanks a lot,
-Scott

There is no formal schema but the source code of the xml import/export scripts may provide a good reference for you.

Currently, you can not import text or xml as Vegas text media objects because the text generator (and all other video effects) are a "black box" to Vegas and the scripting API.

Does this mean there will be support for it in the future?

We're currently looking into further expanding Vegas as our platform for audio montages, and while the prospect of reverse-engineering the Vegas file format may tickle our hacker itch, it would be bit of a time-saver to have some sort of XML export.

I cannot comment on future features.

We know that scriptable text is the most requested scripting feature.
