XP Folder Question

I asked a similar question three months ago and apologize for repeating it, but I didn't get an answer.

I have a default video folder on my computer running XP Pro. I would like to change the icon of the folder, but whenever I do so, the folder doesn't appear in DVDA's Explorer. If I set the icon for the folder to the default, DVDA finds it.

Is there any way to use a non-default icon in Windows Explorer and make DVDA see the folder?

Thanks very much.

This is not an answer to your question but it helps one of mine. I just got Vegas Movie Studio and in DVD Architecture Studio it does not see my "My Videos" folder. I may try changing the default Icon and see if that has any effect. Looks like this is a bug of some type.

That would be curious, indeed, if the DVDArch software used the display icon attached to a folder to determine validity/inclusion of the folder. Not saying it doesn't, but that would definitely be a unique coding technique.

Whatever it is ... that's how it works (or doesn't) for me. When I try to make the folder icon one of the video-like ones from shell32.dll, DVDA Explorer doesn't list the folder.
