Xvid+Vegas 5.0a

Hi

I've done some movie clipps in videomach, xvid coded. And when I want to add them in Vegas I get an error message: Stream attributes could not be determined.
Anyone know how to fix this problem?

I've also tried all the previously mentioned tricks to get Vegas to import a Xvid .avi to no avail. (FourCC code change, uninstalling FFDshow and Divx) Any other suggestions welcomed.
