Yamaha CRW8424S and Windows 2000?

hey guys...

love cd arhitect..the best around. sorry to see it's
support discontinued as I think it had the best, most
intuitive interface for burning cd's. great to be able to
really visualize and hear how your entire master cd will
sound.

I just migrated to Windows 2000. lovin it. however, cd
architect seems to no longer work with my CRW8424S. It
worked fine on 98SE. In Windows 2000, if I try to use SCSI-
MMC Compatible Device, it shows both my SCSI cards, but
doesn't detect ANY devices on my SCSI cards. Nothing, nada,
zilch, zero. I have 7 different devices (drives, cdrom,
cdrw) on my card, and it just does not see anything listed
as being connected. It's very odd.

I even went as far as to install the latest v4.60 Adaptec
ASPI drivers so that old legacy apps could detect any SCSI
devices, still no go. Other apps works great so it seems to
be strictly a problem with CD Architect.

any ideas or help would be great..peace...omar

Do you have an Intel Chipset in your box,
810,815 or 820 and are you using the
Intel Ultra ATA Driver?

My Yamaha unit is SCSI. It's on an Adaptec 2940UW
controller. I don't have ANY IDE devices in my system. It's
totally SCSI. Im using the Abit BH-6 board with the i440 BX
chipset. As I said before, I even installed the v4.60 ASPI
drivers since Windows 2000 doesn't have ASPI support and
some older programs require it. Still no go. CD-Architect
just refuses to see anything on either of my SCSI cards. It
just shows "no device" when I drop-down the device list for
either controller.
