Yea or Nay?

Hi,

I'm having very good luck so far with the CDA5 demo and my high-speed Plextor USB 2.0 burner. Conversely, Wavelab is absolutely brain dead about the USB 2.0 burner and Nero burns CDs that are way too loud.

However. . . I'm reading some high-quality dissatisfaction on this forum which makes me cautious enough to ask whether I should take the plunge or not. Hopefully some of you are pleased but not posting?

I'm attracted to the fact that the program is all about burning CDs and mastering, as opposed to digital audio editing which I have quite enough tools for already.

I'm not attracted to the lack of text features and the fact it would seem I'd be paying finished software prices for what others find is akin to a beta release. I don't own any other SF products to qualify for discounts.

Any comments yea or nay welcomed.

Hi,

I use a Plextor USB burner and have not had a minit's problem with the released software. Troubles in the beta were tracked down to Adaptec USB driver issues. I would vote (and have voted with my checkbook) yea.

Captn, you must have your Plextor USB 2.0 burner on an Adaptec hub or card.

Good to hear you're well-satisfied, cause like I said my Plextor seemed happiest with the CDA5 demo.

Could I ask about the missing text features? Do these text features include the ability to code each song's name into the CD? Or do they have to do with something else entirely?

Seems a little silly to not have the ability to write track names. . .

Keep the feedback coming please.
