Yes You Can - Vegas winning in international fests

I'm pleased to announce that my latest feature length movie, "Cracker - the last cowboys of Florida" has been accepted by four festivals, two national and two international.

It was shot entirely with Sony Z1's and edited entirely in Vegas.

We premiered in the Palm Beach International FF in April and will be screening in the Jacksonville International next Saturday 5/17. On the same day, we'll be featured in the Tupelo FF in MS. In August we play in the Central Florida FF at Universal Studios in Orlando.

So this post is intended to encourage All of You to keep up your good work. You don't need the most expensive equipment or any other editing software than Vegas (my favorite) to get international recognition.

This is the start of the "Business" end of "Show Business". (Making the movie is the "Show".
I will keep you all in the loop as we procede.

Great work, Vic.

Just yesterday I went to welcome a new neighbor, and within minutes found he worked in video--FCP--and readily sneered when I mentioned Vegas. i smiled and invited him to a showdown any time.

I don't mind, really, but it gets old.

Keep it up.

Very nice - congrats, Vic.

Is there a link to a short clip of the new film - I could just find clips of the prior one, http://www.quitwh.fatcow.com/Cowboys/CowboysOpening.wmv, which I think is fantastic, especially the music.

I am working on a trailier for the movie, as we speak.

But here's a nice link from the Florida Sun Sentinel who wrote up the film for the Palm Beach International Film Festival, and came over and shot a neat little piece on us.

You'll get a peek at my edit suite, some footage from the film, and my producer Martin Ross.

What a blast...

It should be illegal to have that much fun :O).

Nothing beats a well executed documentary at exactly the right time.

Congratulations!
