Yet Another Pulldown Question

I thought I understood the whole 24P thing, but I'm confused about something...

I've got a 24PA project (2-3-3-2 pulldown) that was shot with a DVX.

What's the difference if I render to DV 24P (inserting 2-3 pulldown) or 29.97 DV? Which one should I use if I'm printing to tape for playback/mastering?

I refrained from answering because I don’t have a 24p cammy and am just going by research I have done (not by experience). Most sites recommend that you use 2-3-3-2 pulldown when you have to match to 35mm film. Otherwise 2-3 pulldown should be used if you’re staying in the video domain. Like I said, I have no personal experience with this.

You might want to ask on the DVXusers.com forum. They can tell you what they use for the DVX. (LOTS of 24p expertise over there)
